Catalysts for Silicone Curing

Silicone catalysts are used in the curing reaction of silicone polymers, and there are two types of catalysts; platinum (Pt) catalysts are applied to the addition reaction of vinyl silicone and hydrogenated silicone, and organotin (Sn) compounds are used in the condensation reaction between alkoxy silicones. Generally, platinum catalysts are applied to the curing reaction at 80~120℃, and organotin catalysts are for the curing reaction at room temperature.
